Next in our 'Meet the Wrendale Family' series, we’re excited to introduce Chloe, our wonderful Procurement Administrator! We chatted with Chloe about her role, got to meet her rabbit, Freya, and discovered some of her current Wrendale obsessions...

I quite often hear a lot of friends and family outside of work talk about the 'Sunday scaries' or the dread of coming into the office after the weekend is over. I'm very lucky to say that I don't experience this, which is something not everyone can say! We're a fantastic team at Wrendale, with everyone being so friendly and helpful - nothing is ever too much for anyone. Here’s a photo of me with some of the team at our recent summer party.

The Procurement Administrator role is very varied and busy which I love as there’s nothing worse than twiddling your thumbs. We always say if we're sat doing nothing then we aren’t being proactive as there is always something to do. Whenever I mention my job title to anyone a lot of people usually look puzzled and ask what procurement means so I usually saying buying and then it clicks!

Some of my day-to-day tasks include sending purchase orders for products, communicating information about stock with other departments, monitoring and forecasting stock levels and managing order progression to ensure that deliveries come in on time.

If I was to choose, I think I would be a bird, something with vibrant colours like a Kingfisher! Kingfishers are seen as symbols of good luck and happiness, choosing to be a Kingfisher reflects an optimistic outlook and a desire to bring positivity and good fortune into your life and the lives of others. I also like the idea of being able to explore the world from the skies.

Yes, I have a rabbit named Freya. She’s a house rabbit with her own room and has free roam of the house when I’m home. She acts more like a dog than a rabbit and loves nothing more than chilling on the sofa and lounging at the end of my bed! Freya is very spoiled and has a sassy personality. She’s even toilet trained, which usually surprises people - she has a litter tray just like a cat. Rabbits are incredibly rewarding pets when given the right care and attention.

I have MANY but if I was to choose one it would be the socks! These have become my go to socks they are so soft and come in so many cute designs.

Communication is key, many tasks we carry out as a department affect others, so it is important to keep everyone in the loop and to always look at the bigger picture.
