The team at Wrendale, like many millions of people across the world, are counting down to the coronation of King Charles and The Queen Consort, Camilla, on May 6, 2023.
The succession to the throne has changed in recent years following a Royal baby boom, including Prince Louis, Princess Lilibet “Lili” and Princess Eugenie’s first child, August Philip Hawke Brooksbank.
With the UK gripped by Royal fever (us included!), it only makes sense that so many are inspired by the monarchy when naming their little ones.
We always like to keep an eye on trends for newborns as they help to influence our own Little Wren range. It’s clear that the Royal Family continues to capture the hearts and imaginations of the British public, and this is evident in the rising popularity of baby names inspired by them.
With all this in mind, we wanted to know what the most popular Royal-inspired baby names are, so we took a look at ONS data in the UK - are any of your little ones in there?
Father and son duo (Prince) Harry and (Prince) Archie come in second and third place, with over 6,000 newborns named after them in total.
Henry, Prince Harry’s birth name, was also popular - with 2,912 boys registered, followed by William, Lucas and Edward.
