The Wrendale family! At Wrendale everyone is so supportive, approachable and genuinely wants to help. It is so lovely working for a company that shares similar values to yourself.

Tell us a little bit about your job role and what your day to day looks like

Procurement is a busy, fast paced environment and each day brings something new. My to do list is always full but that’s the way I like it! As the Procurement Manager my role oversees all queries related to stock levels. Day to day tasks include data analysis for forecasting and inventory management as well as building supplier relationships. Because we are a busy department, efficiency is essential so continuous improvement to get maximum value is key.

Do you have any pets?Hayley pictured with Rodney

Yes, I have a dog! A ginger Cavapoo called Rodney. He is the cutest! He is such a friendly and affectionate character. Cuddles on the sofa are his favourite. Being only 9 months old he can still be cheeky from time to time, but it all adds to his personality. I couldn’t imagine life without him!

Beyond the office what do you enjoy doing?

Outside the office I enjoy running. It keeps me energised and being outside clears my head. I love a run by the beach with friends on a weekend finished with coffee and cake as a reward! I completed my first half marathon last year.

What are your current Wrendale obsessions?

A Wilding Year by Hannah Dale

Hannah’s new book! It is so beautifully written and the illustrations are gorgeous. I bought a second copy for my mum on Mother’s Day and she loves it just as much.

What advice would you give to someone starting out in your field?

Brush up on your data and excel skills. In procurement, our decisions are data driven and reviewing trends and performance is crucial. A lot of our day is spent wrapped up in a spreadsheet! Communication is also important. From internal collaborations within the business to supplier relationships, strong communication is vital.
