Meet the Wrendale family - Shane, Warehouse Team Leader
Next up in our 'Meet the Wrendale family' series we have Shane, one of our fabulous Warehouse Team Leaders! We talked to Shane about what his job role involves, why he loves working at Wrendale and asked him his top tips for ordering this Christmas...
Each day is different, but my work day often starts with checking any immediate tasks or priorities, such as retrieving stock from other warehouses or conducting stock counts. I also assess the warehouse to ensure everything is organised, putting away pallets, preparing for incoming stock, and consolidating existing inventory to free up space in the racking. If anything can be moved to a better location to improve efficiency, I’ll take care of that too. I always end my workday by reviewing the orders and replenishing stock to ensure everything runs smoothly for the team the next day.
My girlfriend and I have a dog named Roxi, a blue merle French Bulldog.
My mum and girlfriend both love the Christmas baubles and planners. My girlfriend is especially fond of anything with Highland cows, and the 'Gordon' plush keyring is one of the last items I need to grab for her this Christmas. I’ll also keep an eye out for any other cow-themed items she doesn’t already have!
My top tip this Christmas is if you’ve got your eye on anything from our 2025 dated collection or any of our seasonal items like mugs, make sure to grab them as soon as possible because they tend to sell out quickly. If you missed out last year or if something you love is already sold out this year, I’d suggest ordering early no matter the time of year, because you can never be too prepared. Don't forget that our last order date to guarantee delivery by Christmas this year is the 18th December!
