Mindfulness crafts for adults: Scrapbooking
Mindfulness, the practice of being fully present in the moment, has gained popularity as an effective way to reduce stress and increase overall happiness. One of the many ways you can practice mindfulness is through the art of scrapbooking. Scrapbooking is more than just gluing photos onto pages; it's a craft that allows you to curate your memories, thoughts, and emotions in a creative and expressive way. Here's how you can start your mindful scrapbooking journey with a little help from Wrendale...
SELECT YOUR FOCUS
Decide what theme you want your scrapbook to have, this will help to guide your creative process and will give your project direction when it comes to gathering your supplies.
Begin by collecting all of the essentials needed to create your scrapbook. Choose different textured and patterned papers, print out some of your favourite photos and gather any other bits and pieces that will help to decorate the pages. Our ink stamp set is perfect for adding some extra detail to your pages. We always find it useful to have a pack of Wrendale stickers close to hand to help stick down photos. Make sure you have a pen to hand for writing notes and captions.
prepare your pages
Make a plan of what you want to put on each page. Whether it's sorting through photos, or arranging layouts, making a plan now will help you when it comes to putting your scrapbook together. As you arrange your photos, think about the different memories you want to portray. Allow your creativity to flow freely and don't worry if you make a mistake along the way, it's all part of the process!
Celebrate Your Creations
Once you complete a page or a spread, take a moment to admire your work. Reflect on what you like most about the page you've created and what you would change when it comes to the pages you have left to create. Most of all, appreciate the effort you've put into your scrapbook!
